Do you know who has the upper hand in this photo?

You probably have heard the phrase that words are only 10-25% of communication. The rest of communication are made up of non-verbal cues. If you haven’t heard this, you’re living in a dungeon.

I never ever rely on people’s words anymore. I must get a complete feel for their every move. I absorb their facial expressions. I observe their tone. I observe any bodily gestures.

If you don’t already do this, it will take time to get used to. I used to be a complete idiot because I relied on people’s words. When I think about it, I’ve been lied to so many times that should have been completely obvious to me. It was completely outrageous. After I consciously learned about body language, my mind started to pick up cues. I didn’t even have to read a book to get started. This is because we are born with an incredible amount of knowledge on human behavior.

The fastest way to pick up body language is to read books, listen to audiotapes, and watch videos. There are already many common gestures that are common within cultures and around the world. The problem is that we are so busy that we fail to notice these things. However, this will seem silly to some people who always had an intuitive understanding of this. Women are usually the most adept to picking up subtle body language. However, most are not aware of their abilities.

Some people just simply have it made through whatever reasons (mentor, social experience, etc). They just do what works. However for many people, we never gained the experience necessary. This is why it is essential that you start learning about it. If you do, your life will completely change. People will start noticing you when you walk through the door. You will know who is lying to you. You will gain a sense of control over your world. If you ever want to gain power in this world, a consciousness knowledge of this language is ESSENTIAL.

To get you started, I will recommend to you the bible of body language. It’s the bible because the author Allan Pease was the first person to actually put it on paper with style. If there is anyone who knows anything about body language, it’s this guy. All the other books are probably just copy cats of his work.

The main book being sold in the United States is called “The Definitive Book on Body Language”. I’ve had the pleasure of reading it, and it is a MUST read. I can’t stress it enough.

Click here now to buy from Amazon or click here for Barnes & Noble.

If you have a little extra cash lying around or if you are interested in more, go directly to Allan Pease’s website here. There are many more products there that aren’t available at your local bookstore. To leave you guys on a high note, I present to you a cheesy marketing banner.

P.S. In the picture at the top of this post, Bush is clearly in the power position on the left, but it depends on what side the photo is taken. Putin, on the right, is forced to look like he is very open and vulnerable to Bush. It may seem like nothing, but it leaves a lasting impression in people’s minds. Keep this in mind the next time someone is taking photos of you shaking hands with someone.
