The Global Shift of Power to Asia

August 9, 2007 – 8:24 pm | by Carl Zetterlund

There is a global shift in power from the United States to the nations of China and India. Take notice.

Wake up. I don’t think you really feel what is going on. Sure, you probably have heard about this unless you’ve been living under a box. But do you feel it? That’s what is important. The world is going through mind numbing change. If you’re living in America and many other countries, you won’t see or feel it until it’s too late.

You need to feel it. Asia and India are going through so much change right now that it’s absolutely ridiculous. Words cannot express the magnitude. This is a time of massive change. Massive change means massive opportunity. Massive opportunity to make you rich. This is the time. Now, you just have to act.

Envision a world where the United States is no longer regarded as a super power. Envision a world where your competition for a job is 6 people from China, 7 from India, and you’re the only American. Envision a world where Chinese and Indian cultures are rampant around the world. Envision your future.

Fortunately, China and India are not there yet. They are experiencing rapid growth, but also the pains that are associated with it. Most Chinese and Indian citizens are just as fear ridden as most citizens anywhere in the world. Many do not see the opportunities that exist all around them. What does this mean? Opportunity for you.

When there is massive change, there is chaos. When there is chaos, people crave certainty. When there are leaders, there is certainty or an illusion of it. It doesn’t matter. This relates completely to the recent post about The Art of Timing. You must recognize major trends that are happening around you and you must not resist them, but seize the opportunity when the time is right. The time is right now.

If you’re an American, pack your bags. I’m completely serious. You need to experience it first hand over there. If you want to become the next greatest leader of the world, you should already be there to learn and connect.

Learn their culture. It is different. Learn how to connect with others. Even the simplest of people over there will provide you with an enormous amount of information. Respect their culture. They don’t like you as much as most Americans don’t like foreigners. However, you will deal with it just fine because you are the great person that you are.

I’m personally planning my early exodus to India and China soon. Will you be there to join me?

Carl

P.S. I’m not going to duplicate the work that is already out there. Just Google China and India for validation. Use your own judgment. Do not judge. Just observe. There will be proponents and critics. Forget your past. Focus on the present. Just observe. Then, take massive action. You have nothing to lose.

P.P.S. Almost forgot. To learn more, buy this excellent book called The Elephant and the Dragon: The Rise of India and China and What It Means for All of Us. Buy it from Amazon or B&N.

    Very interesting post Carl.

    A little about me.

I was born in North East China, in a province called Liaoning. I went over to the UK with my Mum at the age of 10, and now, at the age of 22, I’ve come back for half a year.

I came back to China for the low living costs while starting up my web business.

Personally, I am hoping to get into the Chinese Search Affiliate Marketing business. When this is successful, I also plan to get into imports & exports.

I will blog about both of these in the near future.

So Carl, what are your plans for when you’re in China and India?

    Hi Xin!

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

I can’t say I know what will exactly happen when I go. All I know is that I feel it’s the right decision. The main reason I want to go is that I am planning to start an educational software company. I think there is so much potential for positive change to revolutionize the way people learn. Traditional schooling stinks and only caters to a certain type of person. Also, there are only a handful of great teachers in the world, and their knowledge and skills can’t be shared worldwide easily.

Another reason is that China and India’s culture values education so much more than America. It is just a great place to start and I think people over there will be much more receptive. I will eventually want to help people around the world though.

I think it’s awesome that you are starting up your business. Be bold man. Don’t let others hold you down.

This site mainly designed to help people who want great things in life, but don’t have the right mindset to accomplish it just yet. I hope I can share with as many people as possible.
